We previously started a series that aimed to look at the 100 greatest movie quotes of all time. In part one; we looked at some classic movies, including Titanic, Jurassic Park and Dirty Dancing.
Been patiently waiting for part two? Don’t worry! Here we will count down from 90-81. Are your favourites on this list?
90. “You’re gonna need a bigger boat” – Jaws (1975)
The first time that we as a viewer get a good glance at the shark is right around the first time that our three heroes on the boat do. We’re not sure how people reacted at home, but we love the way that Chief Martin Brody utters the line and steps back in horror – a memorable reaction!
89. “We have a hulk” – The Avengers (2012)
Loki might have an army, but Tony Stark doesn’t care! He’s confident enough in their fighting power, all because they have “a hulk.” Yeah!
88. ““I say we take off, nuke the site from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.” – Aliens (1986)
What should you do with a planet full of aliens? Ripley isn’t taking any chances, and suggests that they just blow up the whole planet!
87. “That is so fetch” – Mean Girls (2004)
Gretchen really wants this word to happen, but Queen B Regina is haven’t none of it! What do you think? Is this phrase “so fetch?”
86. “You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain” – The Dark Knight (2008)
Harvey Dent might technically be talking about the Romans, but his quote hits pretty close to home for Bruce Wayne – especially considering how this film ends.
85. “My name is Dug. I have just met you, and I love you.” – Up (2009)
We wish that everyone we first met was at polite and loving as Dug. We also wish that our dogs could talk. Ah well!
84. “Guglia? Oh, so Julia’s last name’s gonna be Guglia? Julia Guglia! That’s funny!” – The Wedding Singer (1998)
Glen Guglia might not understand why this is so funny, but the audience were laughing hysterically along with Robbie. Who doesn’t giggle at a name that rhymes?
83. “To infinity…and beyond” – Toy Story (1995)
This memorable catchphrase from Buzz Lightyear recently topped a poll for being one of the best one liners from any movie. He first uses it in the first movie, back when he still believed that he could actually fly. Aw!
82.”It wasn’t over. It still isn’t over” – The Notebook (2004)
We dare you to say that your heart didn’t melt during this scene? It takes place just before the famous kiss in the rain – and it still makes us cry today!
81. “Never let the fear of striking out, keep you from playing the game” – A Cinderella Story (2004)
Don’t judge us! This might not have been an Oscar winning film, but it was pretty cute. And we really like this quote – it’s a good inspirational one!
There you have our next 10 quotes, keep checking back for our next instalment!
