This truly fantastic rom-com was a huge commercial success, grossing over $280 million! Hugh Grant, Colin Firth and Renee Zellweger play their iconic roles, with Zellweger even earning herself an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.
This film showed that the best way to start a New Year is with an empty diary and goals to fulfil. Bridget Jones’ Diary opens on New Years Day, with the main character single and ready for change. We follow her year as she hasn’t met any of her New Years goals, but she has made us laugh, cry and smile with her romantic kiss at the end.
This film will become a timeless classic, with Bridget being one of the most loved and relatable characters for many women.
