Pitch Perfect 2
Now, we’re pretty excited about this one! The Barden Bella’s are back to cause just as much trouble as they did back in 2012. If you haven’t seen the first film, get it watched! The movie centres on the Barden Bella’s, an all-female a cappella group who need to up their game if they want to win the ICCA Championships. The second film looks set to be just as laugh-out-loud hilarious as the first one, so pencil May 15th into your diaries and get ready to be pitch slapped!
Poltergeist
The 1982 horror has been remade and is more terrifying than ever before. As the Bowen family move into their new home, they start to notice odd things happening, but it’s their youngest daughter, Madison who senses these disturbances the most. When the angry spirits take her, the family must consult the specialists on how to get her back. If you love a good scaring, make sure to check this film out on May 22nd.
Minions
Everybody’s favourite little yellow things are back this summer, but this time, it’s all about them! Minions is the prequel to Despicable Me and follows the story of the minions as they seek the most evil villain to serve throughout the ages, from the T-Rex to Napoleon. This is one for the whole family and is sure to keep the kids well and truly entertained! Watch out for its release on June 26th.
Ted 2
The cheeky teddy bear that everybody loves is back again to bring us plenty of laughs. This time, Ted is trying to become a father for the first time, but must first prove that he’s human. Get ready for more of the Family Guy style humour that made Ted so popular the first time! The film’s set to hit cinemas on the 10th July so make sure to put it in your diaries!
Ant-Man
Next up in the Marvel series is Ant-Man, the story of con-man Scott Lang who is given a chance at redemption if he will take on the role of this miniature superhero. Lang must become the Ant-Man in an incredible suit that has the ability to shrink him in size but greatly increase his strength. This movie is an absolute must-see for any superhero fans, so make sure you check it out on July 17th.
Fantastic Four
This summer will be bringing you a lot more Marvel as Fantastic Four is rebooted for a much darker imagining. The film sees four young scientists who gain superhero powers after a teleportation experiment goes wrong. They must work together with their new incredible powers to save the world from a friend turned foe. Don’t miss the film’s release on August 6th this year.
Paper Towns
If you loved The Fault in Our Stars, you’re going to love this film. Bestselling author, John Green has written yet another brilliant coming-of-age story about Quentin Jacobsen and the girl next door, Margo Roth Spiegelman. After the pair team up for a night of crazy adventure, Margo doesn’t return to school, so it’s up to Quentin and his best friends to track her down. We can’t wait till August 21st for this movie.
